SCHOOL COUNCIL

Mrs Favell meets regularly with the School Council members. Children elect two representatives per class at the beginning of the school year.

Regular meetings are held between the Headteacher and members of the School Council to discuss matters, which the children wish to raise, concerning their school. The School Council gives the children a greater voice with regard to activities within school, for example, fundraising, charities and playtime activities.

HEALTH PROMOTING SCHOOL

We have recently been awarded the Silver standard Health Promoting School status.

ECO SCHOOL

We are proud to say that Chaddesden Park Junior School has been recognised as an ECO School by the Tidy Britain Group.

The school is committed to ecology and environmental ‘green’ issues and has been awarded a third Green Flag in recognition of this fact.

MINI LEADERS

Some of the older children are trained as Mini-leaders and are able to teach other children a variety of playground games during the break and lunch times.
