School Uniform |

The wearing of our uniform reflects a positive attitude to school as distinct from play or special occasions.
It is the policy of the school Governors that all children are expected to wear our school uniform chosen from the following:
| Boys: | Long trousers in plain black, navy or grey Short trousers in plain black, navy or grey (not ‘Bermuda’ style, or football shorts) Standard school shirt in white Polo shirt (unprinted) in white or red Jumper/cardigan in red School badged sweatshirt in red Plain sweatshirt in red |
| Girls: | Pinafore dress in navy or grey Skirt (knee length) in black, navy or grey Trousers (not tracksuit) in black, navy or grey Summer dress in red/white stripe Standard school shirt/blouse in white Polo shirt (unprinted) in white or red Jumper/cardigan in red School badged sweatshirt/cardigan in red Plain sweatshirt in red |
| Footwear: | Shoes plain black Sandals in plain colours N.B. Trainers are not acceptable, nor are shoes with high or large heels. |
Children arriving at school inappropriately dressed will be asked for a letter of explanation from their parent/guardian. This also applies to inappropriate hairstyles, hair colours, or hair adornments, which in certain circumstances may result in the child's exclusion from school until the matter has been resolved.
It is also the policy of the Governors that all jewellery, with the exception of watches and plain stud earrings, is forbidden. Nail varnish should not be worn to school.
| P.E. Kit | A named drawstring bag will be needed for the following: Blue or black shorts/skirts Team coloured T shirt (red-Ruby, yellow-Topaz, green-Emerald, blue-Sapphire) Navy or black leotards for gymnastics/dance (not essential) Black/white plimsolls (for indoor use) Trainers (for outdoor use) Sweatshirt or tracksuit (for outdoor use in cold weather) Please note that girls wearing tights must have plain socks for P.E. |
Your help will be appreciated in seeing that your child has P.E. kit at school during the whole week. Children forgetting their kit on more than one occasion will receive a letter asking for an explanation and will be loaned P.E. kit from school stocks so that they do not miss any P.E.
No child will be allowed to take part in P.E., games or swimming if they are wearing any jewellery. Earrings must be removed; it is not acceptable to tape them up. Members of staff will not assist in the removal of earrings. If the child cannot remove their own earrings they will not be allowed to partake in the activity. If a child has newly pierced ears and the studs cannot be removed the child will not be allowed to do P.E., games or swimming. I would remind you that P.E. is part of the National Curriculum and children should not be missing lessons. Our Activemark status means that we are committed to all children taking part in all PE and Games activities.
Art and Crafts
We strongly recommend that your child wears an apron or old shirt during art lessons. Whilst we try to stock washable paints we cannot guarantee that paint will not, on occasions, get on clothing. We recommend soaking in cold water before washing.
ALL CLOTHING MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED WITH THE CHILD'S NAME
Lost property will only be kept for a short period of time (max. 4 weeks) before being disposed of.
